Collection of your Personal Information

Urban Cycling Institute may collect personal information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number. Information collected by Urban Cycling Institute is used solely for the purpose of conference billing and delivering newsletter explicitly requested by you.

We obtain personal information from you when you provide it directly to us, for examples – when you engage with our staff, fill out a form, sign up for our conference, or are designated as a contact in your member city. Urban Cycling Institute may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of transportation issues.

Urban Cycling Institute does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. In those cases, your personal information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) may be transferred temporarily to, and used once by, the third party. An example of this use may be to invite you to a third-party-run networking event run as an ancillary event to one of our own (i.e. at Cycling Research Board Annual Meeting or at Urban Cycling Institute’s conferences and seminars).

We occasionally hire other companies and organizations to provide limited services on our behalf, such as handling the processing and delivery of event tickets, providing customer support, processing transactions, or performing statistical analysis of our services. We will only provide those companies the personal information they need to deliver the service. They are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information and are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.

Urban Cycling Institute does not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your explicit consent.
