Immersive Study Visits
A curated and experiential study visit for universities and delegations
We lead delegations and student groups from universities around the world through the city of Amsterdam for experiential learning, exploring the city’s cycling history and policy. During the study visit, the group uses ‘cycling as a lens’ to uncover urban and spatial planning in relation to health, land use, built environment, and sustainability in the city.
Through a carefully curated and designed ‘scavenger hunt’ we invite students to engage with their environment and immerse themselves in the city as a means for collective learning and knowledge transfer.
Study visits include site visits, Q&A with experts and peers, staff-led workshops, and group debriefs focused on translating lessons into actions back home.
Who is this study visit for?
Bachelor’s and Master’s students in social sciences, humanities, urban and transportation planning, urban studies or related fields as well as professionals in the field
What to expect from the study visit?
Meet up at a central location for an introduction and debrief of the scavenger hunt
Independently and in small groups, cycle and/or walk through the city to learn and reflect
Regroup to share findings and observations with one another
Participate in an interactive lecture, embedding findings in context and academic debates
